Human perception is selective to a point we might not realize. Looking through pollinators eyes, listening with roots “ears”, unveils existing sections of languages and cooperation systems around us that we are not aware of.
We talked for three months with Angelica Mesiti while she was preparing this installation. We delved together into non human communication worlds to produce a tale of unseen images.
We sourced foxgloves, gladiolus, poppies, borage, nigella. We grew fungi, mycelium and mold. They were all filmed by Director of Photography Pierre Jouvion under a light that humans couldn’t see - with a camera that was filtered and modified to be sensitive to extreme UV light - as "bee vision" is.
