Théo Casciani Vous n'avez pas besoin d'y croire pour que ça existe ◑ Exhibition design

DÉFINITION, is an exhibition presented at the Frac des Pays de la Loire, in Nantes, during the summer of 2023, under the title "Vous n'avez pas besoin d'y croire pour que ça existe". The Frac's shed has been transformed into another space, part data-center, part laboratory and part storage facility. Most of the scenographic equipment was supplied by a local storage service provider. It was assembled and dismantled for later use, leaving very little waste. The exhibition text, central to the project, was cut into words and scattered across the exhibition floor.

DÉFINITION unfolds a story parallel to one of the chapters in Maquette: Théo Casciani's forthcoming novel.

Maquette is a novel by Théo Casciani to be published by Éditions P.O.L., in the form of a cosmogony of the world after. The text examines the ways in which new models emerge, and how emotions resist virtual mutations. The writing is combined with a series of readings made up of as many episodes as there are chapters in the manuscript. Hijacking the usual codes and reinvesting the feuilleton system, these collaborative events aspire to put the text to the test of different eyes and sensibilities while it is still malleable, to connect a range of formats and contributions, and to use a variety of channels to install the climate of this fiction before its publication. The book will be the result of this adventure.
